Artists Submission Guide
C1 Comics is always willing to collaborate with other artists. If you think you would be an asset to the C1 Comics team, please follow the instructions below so we can review your material.
For every piece of artwork submitted your name and contact information should be clearly displayed. All submissions must be based on a character, characters from the C1 Comics universe. Most images should be in a JPEG format unless otherwise indicated. We encourage artists to team up on projects, but this is not necessary. If selected, you should be able to produce work in a timely, professional manner. Some tasks may require knowledge of Photoshop and Illustrator.
PENCILERS
You must be able to draw the human form well and have a flair for storytelling through your artwork. You should be able to draw background objects using perspective as well... from rooms, to outdoors, to vehicles, etc. Please e-mail 4 STORY PANEL PAGES and a COVER/PINUP!
INKERS
You must be able to separate background objects from foreground objects, and preserve the pencilers' details and style, while adding your own minor touches. We would like to see 3 STORY PANEL PAGES and a COVER/PINUP, as well as images of the original pencils for comparison.
COLORISTS
You must be able to color and highlight effectively. We prefer computer color, however, traditional color can be submitted as well. We would like to see 3 COLORED STORY PANEL PAGES and a COLOR COVER/PINUP in a Photoshop PSD format.
WRITERS.
For writing we would like to see the format that you write in. Our focus will be how clear you are, how you set up scenes for the penciler, dialogue, and action flow. We would like to see 3 STORY PANEL PAGES in a Microsoft Word or PDF file.
